My Fault - I FORGOT

HEEEEYYYYYY!!!

I know its been awhile since I've blogged and PLEEEEEEEEASE FORGIVE ME! I pray that you are doing well as you read this NEW ENTRY. I want to hear from you so please hit me at fansupport@whoisyoung.com - send comments, essays, support mail, testimonies - YOU NAME IT SEND IT and I will try my best to respond in a timely fashion.

Well since the last time I spoke to you there has been so many changes that has taken place in my life. I'm on tour with my book - I'm preaching more this year - I've had several interviews (radio and newspaper) - I started a radio segment called GRACE 2 SPEAK (a spin off from my book) - and I could go on and on with my spiritual life but I wont. You get the pictures...

Well today I want to blog about promises - I called it " My Fault - I FORGOT"

I pray that you're having the best day of this year! I just wanted to drop a line or two on you to say hello. Despite my schedule becoming hectic by the minute I was reminded of a promise that I made to one of my friends - it was simply to take out the trash before I left their house. Well in my heist to make sure I made it to my next appointment I FORGOT TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH!!! Needless to say the next time I spoke to them there was a little distance between us.

I asked them about my concern [their shortness with answers and sarcastic comments]. To me it wasn't a big deal - I took it out when I got the chance plus their hands nor legs were broke - LOL. Well they explained to me that because I'm a man of my word they hold me to a higher standard then others. This one event had me thinking about ALL the other tasks that I "PROMISED" to get but never got around to doing. Then I started to think "Man what does God think about me and ALL MY PROMISES". So I looked it up and this is what I found:

  • Numbers 30:2 (New International Version) When a man makes a vow to the LORD or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.

  • Deuteronomy 23:21 (New International Version) If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

  • Deuteronomy 23:23 (New International Version) Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth.

Now these are just a few scriptures that deal with making promises [vows] and how we are to respond to each. I pray that you find value in these example as I have. I now watch and track each promise that I make - I want to make sure I fulfill each one that I establish. Please feel free to respond with your comments, questions and/or concerns.

GOD BLESS
